Do Patti trailer: Kajol stuck in messed up love story involving ‘2’ Kriti Sanon

Netflix released the trailer of its upcoming thriller film, titled Do Patti, on Monday, October 14 in Mumbai. Starring Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh in important roles, it is a mystery thriller set in the backdrop of a hill station. The catch in the story is Kriti playing a double role as twin sisters.
The trailer begins with an interrogation scene where Kajol is investigating a crime involving Kriti and Shaheer’s love story. As the trailer proceeds, we are introduced to the ‘evil twin’ trope in the story where one sister, Saumya, wants to lead a simple life surrounded by love, while the other outgoing sister, Shailee, wants to ruin her dreams and wishes.
It seems like an exciting trailer which doesn’t give away the whole story. How a happy-go-lucky sister gets admitted to what looks like an asylum, continues to be a mystery.
This is the first time that you see Kajol playing a cop on-screen, stuck in the web of lies and secrets. It is a story where things mean more than what meets the eye. Regarded as the ‘twisted tale of twins’, Do Patti seems to be both a love story and a mystery that simply grows on you. The dim setting amid the dreamy hills further makes the whole narrative look more intriguing.

Do Patti is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, and written by Kanika Dhillon. Also starring Tanvi Azmi and Brijendra Kala in important roles, it is Kriti’s maiden production and is slated to stream online from October 25.
